At first it started out as a local news story for the Monroe Evening News in February. Brian, founder of Kidney for Kids, saw our story in the paper and offered to help us find a kidney for Roman. He helped us with his connections to our local news station ABC and WTOL. One person watching that news story was Roman's Geometry Teacher Eddie. From there he got himself tested at U of M to see if he was a match. After 5 rigorous months, he found out he was a perfect match for Roman! We shared our story on our local news station and from there it just took off. Next we had Good Morning America wanting to do a video on our story, where they interviewed us his parents, along with Eddie and Roman. Before we knew it, other news media from the Washington Post, News Nation, USA Today were wanting to interview our story. His story can also be found in other states such as Florida, Texas, and New York. Our story has even went International as it has been found in the UK, Australia, and France. If you do a Google search for Roman McCormick, you will find many of these articles sharing our story.
